Temporary Graffiti: Banja Luka-St. Louis, Zlatko Ćosić, 2013, video, dual-channel, 20:00
Created for the first time in Berlin, reflecting upon Germany's troubled past, the project Temporary Graffiti comes to the artist’s hometowns of Banja Luka and St. Louis. The reflected light touches the architecture of Banja Luka and continues to St. Louis where the artist and thousands of others immigrated. Their lives are stretched between two countries, cities, cultures and times. The architecture serves as witness to the past and present. The light connects these places and experiences, trying to heal the gaps created by war and the loss of a hometown.
